BHF funds life-saving research into heart and circulatory diseases, conditions that affect millions of families across the UK. Their mission is simple: to beat heartbreak forever.
BHF campaigns for better awareness and faster access to life-saving equipment such as defibrillators, while funding vital research that advances prevention, treatment, and rapid emergency care for those affected by heart disease, something Ethan witnesses firsthand in his work as a paramedic.
This cause is particularly close to our hearts. By supporting the BHF, we aim to help advance research, awareness, and access to the care that saves lives every single day.

Calder Valley Search and Rescue Team (CVSRT) are part of Mountain Rescue England and Wales, covering a vast area of West Yorkshire, including Halifax, Bradford, Keighley, north Leeds, and even as far as Wetherby.
Made up of 50 dedicated volunteers, including paramedics, doctors, rope and swift-water rescue technicians, and four highly trained search dogs, CVSRT respond 24/7 to emergencies. From missing persons to injured walkers, climbers, and cyclists, they operate in all conditions to save lives.
Despite their expertise and professionalism, the team is 100% community-funded, relying entirely on donations to continue their lifesaving work.
As a Yorkshire paramedic, I wanted to give back to my community and put my hiking and mountaineering experience to use. In April 2025, I was honoured to be selected from a highly competitive group to join CVSRT as a trainee. After a year of intensive training, I’ll be a full team member ,on call every day of the year.
