Meet the Team

Ethan Chapman

Ethan, is a Yorkshire based paramedic, mountaineer, ocean rower and trainee mountain rescue member.

Growing up in the Lake District, he spent most of his childhood outdoors but in 2024, took on his biggest challenge- rowing across the Atlantic with two other paramedics.

Although he once said he’d never set foot on a rowing boat again, Ethan is heading back to the Atlantic with renewed purpose. Since his first crossing, he’s shared the lessons of the ocean — resilience, leadership, and calm in chaos — through talks across the UK. Now, with experience behind him, he’s ready to return and take on whatever the ocean throws his way

Lottie Hopkinson-Woolley

Born and raised in London, Lottie has always chased adventure, whether it’s skydiving in South Africa or teaching sailing on the Isle of Wight, she thrives under pressure.

Currently, Lottie works as an Executive Assistant to the CEO of a PR/Comms company. There is no question that her skills of organisation, logistics, decision making and adaptability will leave her well placed to combat all the Atlantic has to throw at her.
Originally set to row the Pacific, she had to step away just weeks before departure, a decision out of her hands, but one that tested her resilience.

Determined not to let that be the end, she signed up for the World’s Toughest Row.

For Lottie, this is more than a challenge, it’s a second chance to finish what she started and finally cross an ocean and use the skills and lessons she learned when preparing for the Pacific
